Brúnir Horse Cafe

Brúnir Horse is a small family-run company, based in Eyjafjordur in North Iceland. The farm Brúnir is a horse breeding farm and the family has made their farm an excellent pitstop for travellers that are exploring the region.

The main attraction is the horse show. Brúnir Horse organises professional shows where the Icelandic horse is introduced in its natural environment and its history and unique qualities are brought to life with emphasis on the horse‘s multiple skills and diversity.

Brúnir Horse also houses a studio and an exhibition area where guests can view the farmer’s paintings that are on show and for sale. Additionally, the works of other artists will be on show from time to time. Those exhibitions are usually advertised periodically.

Visitors can enjoy local cuisine on the premises in their small and homely café. They offer soups, salads and light courses along with coffee and desserts.The food is made primarily with fresh ingredients from the region.

Brúnir Horse makes for an excellent stop when travelling around Eyjafjord. You will learn about the uniques Icelandic horse and get an insight into the everyday life of Icelandic farm life. After exploring the farm and the art that’s onsite, it’s ideal to sit down for a hearty lunch made from fresh ingredients.
