Tröllafossar Waterfalls are located approximately 20 kilometres east of Borgarnes Town in West Iceland, is small cascading waterfall in Grimsá River. Tröllafossar is one of many falls in the river along with being one of the largest. The name can be translated into Trolls Falls and it derived from the profile of a troll in the rocks by the river bank that nature has sculpted. The waterfalls are not very high, but they are very wide and stretch 70-80 metres. You can get an excellent view from the falls of the scenic Skessuhorn mountain, a distinctive pyramid-shaped mountain in the Skarðsheiði massif.
