Hótel Jökull is a family-run hotel, located in the vicinity of Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier. The scenery around the hotel is spectacular and many of the rooms have wonderful mountain views. It is well positioned, right by Iceland’s ring road nr. 1. It is located 8 kilometres from Höfn í Hornafirði and 453 kilometres from Reykjavík. The hotel has 58 rooms on offer with an on-site restaurant that serves a breakfast buffet and dinner. Free and high-speed Wifi is available throughout the property and free parking is available for guests. The reception staff is available to the guests and are happy to advise on activities in the area and to help you book tours and plan your adventures.

The hotel is ideally located for travellers wanting to explore the Vatnajökull Region. There is a a great variety of activities available around the hotel, such as hiking paths, ice cave tours, snowmobiling, a golf course and a swimming pool.

Great breakfast – comfortable room Check I was quick and easy. Peter was very friendly. We stayed in the block with 400 numbers. The room was a good size. 2 single beds pushed together. Nice size TV with English channels. The towels could be more plush. Breakfast – good range of cereals with accompaniments scrambled eggs, bacon a choice of breads, cold cuts. A good variety of teas.

Love it! An outstanding hotel in Iceland! It’s new, spacious, clean and comfort. Everything was great for our stay, including the dinner and breakfast. Gas station is right across the street! We saw aurora right outside the hotel. Love it!

Hidden gem! Very spacious room with a very nice breakfast. About six minutes outside Höfn. We arrived in KEFLAVIK and went straight to the hotel in about 6 hours only stopping for lunch. Good starting point for journey to Reykjavík and stopping at all Kodak moments.
