Ísafold Restaurant

Ísafold Restaurant is a small and beautifully decorated restaurant located in the charming Þingholtsstræti, a quiet side street in downtown Reykjavík.

Ísafold’s main focus is to offer their guests an attentive and personal service along with delicious food and drinks. All their ingredients are locally sourced to ensure high-quality and their suppliers are handpicked by the head chef that loves to prepare signature dishes from the local ingredients. All their greens are sourced from local greenhouses and our meat is 100% Icelandic including the lamb which is semi-wild, bread in the Icelandic highlands during the summer months.

The menus at Ísafold are varied but they offer a lunch menu, a la carte menu and a group menu. Each of them is carefully put together and include light options, such as salads and small dishes along with more hearty meals. Their dishes are well thought out with a blend of traditional Icelandic tastes with a bit of a creative twist.

Ísafold Lounge is where you’ll find an excellent selection of small courses, wines, cocktails and a variety of whisky in a beautiful surrounding. The Lounge menu consists of small courses that are perfect for sharing. It’s an ideal place for smaller groups to meet up and enjoy themselves with tasty foods and drinks.
