The Night of Lights is without a doubt the biggest event in Reykjanes and has become a fixed event in the Icelandic cultural calendar. It’s a celebration of culture and family during a time when the bright nights give way to the shorter days of autumn. The Night of Light is the first Saturday in September, however, events run from Thursday to Sunday with a wide array of happenings. The festival offers guests all the best from the local culture, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display on the Saturday night. The Night of Lights is constantly growing and the last few years it has included more than 100 separate events and attracted 30.000 guests! Everyone will find something to their liking as the schedule offers open-air live concert and show, art, theatre and music by all kinds of performers and special offers at restaurants and shops.
